ELA – Suspense Short Story Unit Plan

During my 3 week block, I taught a unit on Suspense Short Stories. You can see my modified ELA Unit Plan, which was mostly adhered to, except that the biggest challenge was fitting in a 15 lesson unit into 9 teaching days. Therefore, the final staging, and presentation of the short stories was eliminated.

The five lessons that I taught were as follows:

Lesson One – Introduction

Lesson Two – Writing a story

Lesson Three – Character Development

Lesson Four – Plot Development

Lesson Five – Creating Suspense

In addition, we had 3-4 work periods.
